Vincent Nabigon
Vincent Nabigon
Vincent is the Chief Executive Officer of Biigtigong Dbenjgan, the for-profit management company of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg (Pic River First Nation). He leads strategic business development, partnerships, and operations that support the Nation’s long-term economic goals.
A proud member of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg, Vincent was raised in the community and brings a deep-rooted commitment to its growth and prosperity. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Biigtigong Dbenjgan and as Director of Business Development for Biiwaabikoke Limited Partnership, where he advanced Indigenous-led initiatives and industry engagement.
In his spare time, Vincent volunteers extensively—coaching both co-ed and girls’ hockey—and serves on the local minor hockey board. His leadership is grounded in community values, economic sovereignty, and sustainable development.
Terri-Lyn Michano
Terri-Lyn Michano
Terri-lyn is a proud member of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg. She is a dedicated Finance Clerk at Biigtigong Dbenjgan, where she manages accounts payable and receivables. With a strong background in administrative work and previous experience as a Purchasing Clerk at Barrick Gold, Terri-Lyn brings a solid understanding of financial processes and organizational operations.
Known for her attention to detail and reliability, she supports the financial functions that help keep the organization running smoothly. Her experience spans a range of office and financial roles, allowing her to adapt quickly and contribute meaningfully to any team.
Beyond her professional life, Terri-Lyn is a proud mother of three and is deeply connected to her community. She brings the same commitment and care to her work as she does to her family life, always striving to support those around her with integrity and dedication.
Justin Michano
Justin Michano
Justin is a proud member of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg and resides in Marathon, Ontario. He recently stepped into the role of Business Development Manager, bringing over 20 years of experience in the mining industry. He spent the majority of his career at the Hemlo mine site, most recently serving as Contract Supervisor with Biiwaabikoke LP. With deep industry knowledge and strong community connections, Justin is excited to embrace new challenges and drive opportunities for growth and collaboration.
His extensive background in mining operations and contract management equips him with a practical, strategic approach to business development. He is passionate about building meaningful partnerships that benefit both the organization and the surrounding communities.
Outside of work, Justin is enjoying a new and exciting chapter in his personal life. He and his partner recently welcomed their son and are embracing the joys of parenthood together.
Sam Kelly
Sam Kelly
Sam has worked in Biigtigong Nishnaabeg for the past three years, supporting the community in a variety of roles. Before joining the team at Dbenjgan, she served as the Student Success Coach at the elementary school and as the Recreation Coordinator, where she gained valuable experience in community engagement and built many positive relationships within the community.
She now supports the day-to-day operations of the construction and energy sectors within Dbenjgan—excited to contribute to the meaningful work being done and to continue learning and growing alongside such a passionate and dedicated team.
Michael Michano
Michael Michano
With over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, Michael Michno brings deep operational knowledge, leadership, and a strong commitment to community-driven development. Starting his career as an open-pit operator, Michael grew into leadership roles and served as a dedicated health and safety representative—laying the foundation for a career rooted in both operational excellence and worker wellbeing.
Michael spent three years managing the Biiwaabikoke Limited Partnership’s LSA contract with Barminco, where he successfully expanded the workforce from just 8 employees to a fully staffed team of 30 full-time workers. Today, he serves as the Director of Business Development and Energy Projects with Biigtigong Dbenjgan, where he leads the Mkwa Construction team in partnership with Wayne Twance. This role has allowed him to further develop strategic insight while continuing to grow local employment and economic opportunities.
In the energy sector, Michael manages the Twin Falls Generation Station—100% owned by Biigtigong Nishnaabeg—where he recently led efforts to secure a new 20-year operations contract, ensuring long-term energy sustainability and community benefit.
Michael believes in laying the groundwork today so future generations can thrive—following not just in our footsteps, but along a clear path we’ve built together.
A lifelong resident of the area, Michael takes pride in the strong roots he’s established with his family—his wife and sons, and their beloved dog Olive.
Marie Michano
Marie Michano
Marie is a proud member of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg and has called Marathon, Ontario home for many years. She began her career with the community in 2012 at what was then known as Pic River Energy. In 2015, she joined what is now Dbenjgan full-time and has since grown alongside it—both personally and professionally—as it developed into the for-profit arm of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg.
Now serving as Office Manager at Biigtigong Dbenjgan, Marie oversees day-to-day operations and supports a dynamic, skilled team. Her role is central to ensuring the organization runs smoothly and effectively, and she takes great pride in contributing to its continued success.
Throughout her journey, she has worked alongside strong and inspiring mentors who have helped shape her approach to leadership, collaboration, and community support. Her ongoing commitment to excellence, teamwork, and the well-being of her Community is reflected in everything she does.
Outside the office, Marie enjoys traveling to experience the world’s beauty, spending time with her dogs, and creating memories with her partner and their three sons.
Lila Donaghy
Lila Donaghy
Lila is a proud member of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg and resides in Marathon, Ontario, with her husband. As the Administration Coordinator, she plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of projects by providing comprehensive administrative support.
Her key responsibilities include managing project documentation, scheduling meetings, and organizing files. Lila facilitates clear communication between team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties to keep everyone aligned. She skillfully coordinates tasks, manages deadlines, and ensures resources are allocated effectively.
Her organizational skills and problem-solving abilities contribute significantly to the success of Biigtigong Dbenjgan’s initiatives and help bring each project’s components together efficiently.
Angela Boudreau
Angela Boudreau
Angela Boudreau serves as Chief Financial Officer for Biigtigong Dbenjgan while also balancing financial leadership responsibilities with Biigtigong Nishnaabeg — a role that keeps her exceptionally busy and deeply involved in both organizations.
A lifelong resident of the neighboring Town of Marathon, Angela brings dedication, reliability, and a strong work ethic to everything she does. Her ability to successfully manage responsibilities across multiple organizations reflects both her professionalism and commitment to supporting community growth and success.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband stay busy traveling throughout hockey season with their son, supporting him both on and off the ice. When they’re not at the rink, their family enjoys relaxing and making memories at camp alongside their beloved dog, Stella.
Angela’s strong connection to the region, combined with her passion for family and community, makes her an invaluable part of the Biigtigong Dbenjgan team.

Valerie Weller is an experienced HR and Payroll Administrator with over 10 years of expertise in payroll and financial services. Known for her strong attention to detail and commitment to supporting both employees and organizational operations, Valerie brings a dependable and people-focused approach to her work.
A lifelong resident of Marathon, Valerie values community, family, and building lasting relationships. She is happily married and the proud mother of two boys. Outside of work, Valerie enjoys spending time outdoors camping and fishing with her family, making the most of Northern Ontario’s natural beauty.
